Weber is a medium-sized family business known for sophisticated and reliable machine solutions delivered all over the world. Since 2019, it has also been developing and producing large-volume additive manufacturing systems from thermoplastics with a very interesting price-to-performance ratio.
Compared to traditional subtractive manufacturing or conventional 3D printing from strings, additive manufacturing using direct extrusion of granules offers a number of advantages – from a larger volume of laid material to a wider selection of thermoplastics. It is thus possible to produce complex and large-volume parts with the lowest possible material consumption at interesting costs.
The Weber company has almost 60 years of experience in direct extrusion of materials. Thanks to this know-how and close cooperation with partners Ai Build and Reichenbacher Hamuel, it offers a wide range of solutions - from portal and robotic systems to hybrid technologies (3D printing and machining in one).
Weber Additive systems are used for the additive manufacturing of large-volume and complex structures in various industries, such as the automotive industry, design and architecture, aerospace, construction and infrastructure, the oil and gas industry or even the production of tools and molds in the foundry industry.
3Dwiser is an official supplier of Weber Additive 3D printing solutions.
Weber DX Series
Direct extrusion of thermoplastics in a gantry system
A CNC-controlled portal system takes care of industrial large-format 3D printing from granules with high precision . It offers, among other things, a heated chamber up to 70 °C and a printing pad up to 280 °C .
The DX 025 system has a net construction volume of approximately 2.5 m³ and is based on a high-precision, CNC-controlled gantry system combined with a high-quality Weber extruder that was developed specifically for 3D printing. The optimal configuration of the entire DX solution depends on many factors. We will be happy to help you with a tailor-made selection - just for your application.
